Cloth cover has some scuffs and staining. Some foxing on title page.  Page rough-cut and  tanned. Corners and spine ends are bumped and worn. Spine ends slightly chipped. Binding exposed between pages, but copy remains bound.  Text remains clear throughout.

William Cowper was one of the most well known poets and hymnwriters  of the 18th century. He wrote of everyday life and scenes of the English countryside. His poems influenced Samuel Taylor Colerdige and William Wordsworth among others.
