Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket: New (Facsimile). 1922. Scribners. 1st Edition, 1st Printing.
The original 1st Edition, 1st printing of F. Scott Fitzgerald's second book, which was largely modeled on his own life with Zelda Fitzgerald. In fact, the dust jacket portrayed a not so subtle resemblence to Fitzgerald and his wife that he became outraged and wished them to be recalled.
Young, beautiful and wealthy, Gloria and Anthony want their marriage to be "a live, glamorous performance". Seemingly perfectly matched, their love begins to deteriorate as each discovers imperfections in the other. In a desperate search for happiness they live riotously - until the final crack-up.
The book is in excellent condition though binding is lightly shaken and parting slightly along hinge and back cover, the interior is clean without marking throughout. Light rubbing to edges and corners ov cover. Dust jacket is new, but well crafted fascimile of the scarce original.
