Written by Richard Burton, a Pseudonym for Nathaniel Crouch - historian and writer considered in later days as a sort of hack or book pirate who stole from various materials and republished them under his pseudonym at his press. Present day historians however, see Crouch in a bit more positive light than his later contemporaries, as someone who helped to popularize history as an important and valuable form of discourse and study.

Bound in leather with signs of repair along hinges. Front cover contains a record of Joseph Tibbs, born 1736 in Northampton, UK. Interior shows foxing and tanning expectant with age, but otherwise a well bound book in good condition. Complete with numerous illustrations of the company arms.
