The Diccionario de peruanismos: ensayo filológico (Dictionary of Peruanismos: A Philological Essay) is the magnum opus of Peruvian writer and lexicographer Juan de Arona (pseudonym of Pedro Paz Soldán y Unanue). Originally published in Lima between 1883 and 1884, it is the first fundamental text that systematically collected and analyzed the unique words and expressions of Peruvian speech.
